Packers strike first in Seattle

Kuhn

It was a touchdown, until the replay review process said otherwise. Eventually, it was a field goal.

The Packers have scored first in Seattle with a chip-shot three-pointer after Green Bay failed to put the ball into the end zone with two tries from the one. The first, a handoff to fullback John Kuhn on second and goal from the one, resulted in a ruling of touchdown. Replays showed he was down before the ball broke the plane of the goal line.

Running back Eddie Lacy was stopped short of the end zone on the next play, and the Packers opted for the 18-yard field goal, to cap an 18-yard drive that started at the Seattle 19 after an unsportsmanlike conduct call on Green Bay pushed the Packers back from the four following Ha Ha Clinton-Dix’s interception of Russell Wilson.

When these teams met in Week One, the Seahawks opened the scoring with a field goal, and the Packers followed with a touchdown.
