Seahawks grab lead with 1:25 to play

The Seahawks spent most of Sunday making mistakes, but they came up with just enough at the end of the fourth quarter to book another trip to the Super Bowl.

Russell Wilson scored on a one-yard touchdown run to cut the Packers lead to 19-14 with 2:09 left on the clock and wide receiver Chris Matthews came up with the ensuing onside kick to give the Seahawks a golden opportunity to grab control of the game.

They did just that. Wilson ran for one first down, threw for another and then watched Marshawn Lynch go 24 yards for a touchdown. They converted for two more points on a Wilson pass to tight end Luke Willson and lead the Packers 22-19 with 1:25 left to play.

Now it is Aaron Rodgers’s turn to try to pull a rabbit out of his hat.
