Yet another Jets assistant has joined head coach Rex Ryan in Buffalo.
Anthony Lynn, who was assistant head coach/running backs coach in New York last season, will have the same titles with the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com reported.
Kimberly Jones of NFL Media first reported the Bills were hiring Lynn.
Lynn, 46, was the Jets’ running backs coach from 2009 through 2014. He also earned the assistant head coach title in 2013. Lynn previously coached running backs for the Browns (2007-2008), Cowboys (2005-2006) and Jaguars (2003-2004).
Lynn reportedly interviewed with the Jaguars and Browns for their offensive coordinator vacancies this offseason.
Lynn is the ninth Jets assistant to be hired to Ryan’s Buffalo staff, with defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman, defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, defensive backs coach Tim McDonald, linebackers coach Bobby April III, tight ends coach Tony Sparano Jr., strength and conditioning assistant Jason Oszvart, special teams assistant Eric Smith and assistant defensive line coach Jeff Weeks the others.
