Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly got good news at a medical checkup today.

Kelly’s wife, Jill Kelly, posted on Instagram that Jim’s doctor told him today after his latest scan that there is no sign of a return of the cancer that Kelly has been battling.

“Dr. C walks in with a big hug and these words, ‘There’s no evidence of cancer,’” Jill Kelly wrote.

Jim Kelly had cancerous tumors in his jaw and nasal cavity removed and he has had other health problems even after he was first declared cancer-free last year. Most he was fighting off a staph infection. Kelly isn’t out of the woods yet and has another scan scheduled for April.

But today, the news for Kelly is very good. He’s getting better, after a tough fight.
