John Fox continued to build his staff with the Bears on Thursday, adding a pair of coaches to the growing group.

One of the hires is following Fox from Denver. Strength and conditioning coach Jason George spent the last three years with the Broncos and was a member of the Jaguars staff from 2009 to 2011. He joins offensive coordinator Adam Gase, special teams coach Jeff Rodgers and three other assistants that have joined Fox in making the move from the Broncos to the Bears.

The other new member of the staff has ties to General Manager Ryan Pace. Frank Smith has been hired as the tight ends coach after spending the last five years as an offensive assistant with the Saints, who employed Pace in a personnel role in their front office before he landed the job in Chicago this month.

Smith will work with Martellus Bennett, who is playing in his first Pro Bowl this weekend.
