The Lions found another pass-rusher in George Johnson last year, and they’re going to keep him.

Via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are going to retain the restricted free agent with a tender, perhaps as high as the second-round level.

Johnson had bounced from the Buccaneers to the Vikings, but played 16 games for the Lions and responded with 6.0 sacks.

General Manager Martin Mayhew also confirmed that the Lions won’t tender contracts to RFAs Kellen Moore and Josh Bynes, though they might bring them back at lower rates.
