When the first draft of PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100 was completed back in February, Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis was included on the list.
As you would imagine, he was one of our highest-rated free agents. However, because the Patriots held an option on Revis for 2015, his name had to come out of the rankings, which bumped roughly 95 percent of the other players up one spot.
But now, the Patriots have, as expected, declined that option on Revis. So onto the free agent market Revis goes, and back into our free agent rankings he goes. Where is Revis ranked? Well, you’ll have to click through to find out, but here’s a spoiler: he’s in the top five, and he’s the top cornerback.
In addition to placing Revis on the list, we’ve also cleared room for Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson. And Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork gets a spot, too.
All told, we have 112 players in the rankings. And we would be surprised if the list stops there, with more cuts figuring to be in the offing in the days and weeks ahead.
