APOne of the NFL’s feel-good stories of 2014 reportedly could have a nice market developing for his services for next season.
Atlanta, Indianapolis and Washington have expressed an interest in Ravens tailback Justin Forsett, the Baltimore Sun‘s Aaron Wilson reported Monday. Baltimore also remains a suitor for Forsett, the Sun said.
Forsett had a breakout year in 2014, his seventh in the NFL, rushing for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns on 235 carries.
Atlanta and Indianapolis lack clear featured backs. However, Washington’s lead tailback, Alfred Morris, has averaged 292 carries in three pro seasons.
Forsett is 51st in PFT’s free agent rankings.
It would take a pretty dumb GM to give him a payday. He had just part of one year of above average production behind a good o-line. My prediction is Thomas Dumbitroff signs him to a 3 year/18 mil contract, after what the Falcons have done in recent years in free agency.
If the Falcons sign this guy I’m throwing in the towel. We have SO many needs on defense and we might pay another RB??? Makes me sick. Freeman played well as a rookie. Resign Jacquizz since he can pass block and go with a duo again. Makes me glad I didn’t renew my season tix this year.
Ravens would love to keep this guy, but alas, have all their cash invested in a 55% pass completer.
Lets see, Baltimore will not have Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones, but they will have a soon to be 36 years old Steve Smith Sr. Good luck with that.

55%? How about a few more numbers, like 30-17.
Crown- You need to check the fact. Nothing you said is true.
You can count out the skins. No one wants to play there.

Other than the fact that he takes up about 10% of the salary cap and completes over 60% of his passes and has never had a single season below 57.6% you got everything right. You got 0% accuracy, so you’re right at your average.
Once Jumpball Joe’s only hope as a receiving threat left, this will become the final nail in the coffin if they lose their journeyman mediocre RB.

Rapeyberger’s 2015 cap number: $18.4m.
Flacco’s 2015 cap number: $14.5m
In the last 4 years The Steelers have been Tebow’d, 8-8, 8-8, and when they finally managed to make the playoffs again- Flacco rolled into their house at Heinz and beat the snot out of them. “All the y’inzers were cyin’ in their IC Lights dahn’ at Prmiant’s n’at” after that Steel Town Beatdown. After this season it will be a full half a decade since the Stillerz last playoff win.
We will take him back, but it isn’t essential. Taliaferro and Pierce still have promise, and there are some good backs in the draft
I love all the Flacco haters. You weenie smokers would love for your team to have his sb ring.
The Ravens handcuffed themselves with the Flacco contract. He’s currently slated to carry the second largest cap hit of any single player in 2016. Factor in the Raven’s cap issues this year and it’s easy to see why they’re staring at the possibility of losing four key guys on day one of free agency. It won’t take much for a team to offer Forsett more than the Ravens could match.
Once a. Johnson, revis and Vernon Davis are Ravens, look for a big baltimore 50th SB anniversary!
Flacco contract, blah blah. Mostly from Steeler fans do you yinzers remember Ben restructured FIRST in 2011, three years after he signed his contract? Flacco is due to restructure in 2016 the same way. I get you are too young or too intellectually challenged to get this.
this required a story?
my my raven fans…little sensitive about your qb?

You sensative about 30-17?
Baltimore won’t be able to afford him. Another FA and draft will fill hole. Good for him and happy he will have a little financial security wherever he lands.
Crown spews non factual hatred clearly through bias lenses and in return gets cold hard facts… love it. You would think more people would just google something like “qb cap hits 2015” and quickly see that Flacco is the 15th highest this year. The life of a troll lol
The Redskins really need to get the Baltimore tailback to replace Helu.
The Ravens are now “over” the cap and haven’t restructured anyone yet. Next year you will be the Saints, $20mil over the cap.
Declining, capped out and done. The Steelers are the team to beat in the AFC North and are right behind NE in the AFC. Denver is done too.
Ravens just got under the cap with a new Suggs restructure. They might just sit on Ngata’s contract. They will be fine. They will spend wisely. THAT’s why they are one of the winningest team over the last 7 years.
All of steeler fans criticism is just ” wishful thinking”. We wish that Joe is a “55% completer”.
We wish that Ravens “are over the cap”. We wish the Ravens “handcuffed themselves” with Joe’s contract. We wish that Joe “throws jump balls”.
Bottom line. None of those wishes come true
no hatred here humbleminded, and it still amazes me how some of you only think from one year to the next. Do you really think that Flacco’s cap increase in 2016 has no impact on their decision to sign guys to contracts that go beyond 2015? That’s business planning 101.
Congratulations Flacco’s cap was low in 2013, 14 & 15 – so far it’s netted you two 3rd place finishes.

————————————————————-Do you really think that his contract is not going to be redone after the conclusion of next season? As much as you study the Ravens I would of though you out of all people would know that the Ravens, Flacco, and his agent Joe Linta have said from the day he signed that it was really a (and I’m paraphrasing here) 3 year deal that both side would work out after that 3rd year. So yes to answer your question would it have a negative impact in year 4,5, and 6. It would be horrible and would cripple is for years but it’s not going to happen. And if it did I would be the first one up here saying how bad it is. Steelers fans wishing that contract withstood the whole 6 years and it actually happening are to different things. One being realistic and one being not. Like I said if I’m wrong I’ll be the first to say it… but one thing I won’t be doing is going on to Steeler related articles and spewing out false facts and numbers just because I’m butthurt my team lost to it’s rival in the playoffs… leave that to Dr.Rusty man.
Exactly! Two 3rd place finishes on their way to 3 or 4 more straight.
See my comments above steeler fans. Keep on wishing…..
For you fans worried about Joe’s cap hit NEXT year, the cap ceiling has increased 20 mil over the last 2 years. That’s more than Joe’s hit for this year. It looks like the Ravens are going to sit tight on Ngata’s hit of 16 mil this year. They know what they’re doing.
Good points humbleminded. At least we deal with the facts and are respectful of other teams, including the Steelers.
