The Eagles reportedly have a deal pending with Chargers tailback Ryan Mathews.
However, per multiple reports, the Eagles could still yet be suitors for the top free agent running back.
Peter Schrager of Fox Sports, Adam Caplan of ESPN and Adam Schefter of ESPN all took to Twitter after the Mathews’ agreement to report Philadelphia could still be in play for Cowboys tailback DeMarco Murray.
Adding Murray to the mix would give the Eagles a deep, accomplished backfield. It would also be a crowded backfield. Then there’s the matter of what it cost to sign Murray.
You never know with the Eagles.
You just know it will be interesting.
