The Browns haven’t found an answer at the quarterback position since returning to Cleveland in 1999.
But it’s not for a lack of flinging names at the problem.
The Browns added to their depth chart today by signing Thad Lewis, per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
That’s nothing against Lewis, a work-hard guy who has stepped into some bad situations on short notice and done the best he could.
But at the moment, the Browns have Josh McCown atop a depth chart which includes Johnny Manziel (rehab), Connor Shaw and Lewis.
It’s not fair to bang on poor Thad, it’s not his fault. But it’s just the kind of move that makes it fair to wonder whether they’ll ever get it right.
