Brace yourselves, the Cowboys have signed a back.
OK, it’s a fullback, but he’ll end up blocking for somebody someday.
According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, the Cowboys have reached a deal with Lions free agent fullback Jed Collins.
Collins, 29, spent last year with the Lions after the previous three seasons with the Saints, and many other camps prior to latching on in the NFL.
Of course, the matter of who he’ll be blocking for is obviously a bigger deal to Cowboys fans, because the names and money involved will be a lot bigger.
