Though there is nearly a week of free agency in the books, there are still starter-caliber players to be had, and the Bears are being linked to one of them.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears have shown some interest in center Samson Satele, who started 16 games for Miami a season ago.

A ninth-year pro from Hawaii, the 30-year-old Satele has been a starter throughout his career in stops with the Dolphins, Raiders and Colts.

The Bears’ starting center, Roberto Garza, has also played guard in his NFL career. He’s under contract for one more season at $970,000 in salary, per NFLPA data. Left guard Matt Slauson is under contract for three more seasons, with base salaries of $2.75 million, $2.85 million and $2.9 million, according to the union.
