The Panthers have worked the fringes of free agency, but they brought another name veteran in Saturday who could provide immediate help.
According to Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, the Panthers had former Packers and Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings for a visit Saturday.
The 31-year-old Jennings was released by the Vikings, but would provide an immediate help for the Panthers, in that he’s a productive receiver on his own and experienced enough to help groom Kelvin Benjamin.
In some respects, landing him would be a bit like signing tackle Michael Oher prior to free agency, in that a down year creates value, and would help them fill a glaring hole on their roster.
