Jets sign tight end Kellen Davis

Golfhack1396

The New York Jets have signed former Detroit Lions tight end Kellen Davis.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, it’s a one-year deal.

Davis appeared in six games for the Lions last season and did not record a single catch. That’s because Davis is much more effective as a blocker than as a receiver.

Davis won a Super Bowl ring with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. He appeared in 15 games for the Seahawks with just three catches for 32 yards and one touchdown. He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Chicago Bears.

He also spent time with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants as part of their offseason rosters in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
