Don Barclay was a useful player for the Packers in 2012 and 2013 when he stepped into the lineup at right tackle when injuries left the Packers in need of a starter.

Barclay will be back in Green Bay to provide that kind of cover again this season, assuming he’s able to stay healthy after tearing his ACL and missing all of last year. According to multiple sources, Barclay has signed his restricted free agent tender and will remain with the Packers for a fourth season.

Barclay, who will make $1.542 million, made the team as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and started 21 regular season and playoff games in his first two seasons. Bryan Bulaga, who Barclay replaced in 2013, re-signed with the team as free agency opened, which means the Packers return all five starters from last year.

In addition to filling the right tackle hole, Barclay is capable of playing guard and should be the team’s sixth offensive lineman as long as his knee has fully recovered.
