On Tuesday, reports surfaced about the Raiders re-signing some of their restricted free agents and the team confirmed that safety Larry Asante, wide receiver Andre Holmes and safety Brandian Ross would remain with the team on Wednesday.
They also announced several more moves involving restricted and exclusive rights free agents, winding up with a total of 10 players re-signed for the 2015 season.
The other restricted free agents to sign their tenders were punter Marquette King and wide receiver Rod Streater. King was tendered at the lowest level, which gave the Raiders the right of first refusal if another team offered him a deal and means he’ll make $1.542 million this season. Streater was given a second-round tender despite last season’s fractured foot and will make $2.356 million after signing.
Defensive end Denico Autry, tight end Brian Leonhardt, tackle Matt McCants, running back Jamize Olawale and cornerback Neiko Thorpe were the five exclusive rights free agents to sign their deals. All will compete for reserve and special teams roles heading into next season.
