Jeff Linkenbach isn’t the only new member of the Dolphins offensive line.

The team announced that they have also signed Jacques McClendon as a free agent on Wednesday. The two men will join Billy Turner, Dallas Thomas and J.D. Walton as possible starting guards and the team could add to their options in the draft.

“That’s all you can ask for,” Linkenbach said, via the Miami Herald. “You compete to try to put the best five out there or seven or eight on game day.”

McClendon started the first two games of the 2014 season at center for the Jaguars before being replaced and started another game at guard later in the year. He had two starts at guard for Jacksonville the previous year and has also spent time with the Lions, Steelers, Falcons and Colts, who drafted him in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.
