A running back who reportedly drew some first-round consideration finally came off the board early in Round Three.

Indiana’s Tevin Coleman, who rushed for more than 2,000 yards as a junior, was the No. 73 overall pick of Atlanta on Friday night.

Coleman (5-11, 206) stands a chance at seeing immediate playing time in a Falcons backfield that lacks a lead back. Devonta Freeman and Antone Smith are other competitors for playing time, but both might be best in complementary roles.
