Stephen Jones: Sean Lee “looks fantastic”

Minnesota Vikings v Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys added a linebacker in the fourth round of the draft on Saturday when they took Minnesota’s Damien Wilson with the 127th pick.

It was an area the Cowboys were expected to address after Bruce Carter and Justin Durant left as free agents this offseason, but it’s not the only way that Dallas is planning to alter the look from last year. They picked cornerback Byron Jones in the first round and then took the plunge on Randy Gregory near the end of the second round to boost other needs on the unit.

That’s not the only way they’re planning on boosting the defense in 2015, though. Executive vice president Stephen Jones said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, that Sean Lee “looks fantastic” as he makes his way back from the torn ACL that wiped out his entire season.

“As you might expect, he’s ready to go,” Jones said.

When Lee’s been ready to go, the results have generally been strong for the Cowboys. That’s only happened 17 times in the last three seasons, though, and the Cowboys will be looking for at least that many games this time around.
