Raiders sign a pair of seventh-round picks

Andre Dubose

The Raiders got the ball rolling on signing draft picks by locking up wide receiver Amari Cooper, who they took with the fourth overall pick.

They continued the process on Tuesday by agreeing to deals with two players who went a lot later. The team announced that they have signed seventh-round picks Anthony Morris and Andre Dubose.

Morris started 10 games at Tennessee State in 2014, his only year as a regular starter on the team’s offensive line. Given that inexperience, the practice squad might be where he spends his rookie season. Dubose only had 29 catches during his career at Florida, but returned four kickoffs and a punt for touchdowns.

Dubose will be joined at receiver by Austin Hill, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent. Hill had 81 catches for 1,364 yards as a sophomore at Arizona, but saw his career derailed by a 2013 knee injury. Hill was initially headed to Seattle after going undrafted, but didn’t pass a physical with the team. The Raiders waived wide receiver Milton Williams to make room for Hill.
