Colts players wisely are walking on eggshells when it comes to using the “C” word for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, since Brady is due to return when the Patriots come to Indy in Week Six. Players on teams that don’t face New England this year and/or didn’t instigate #DeflateGate don’t have to be as careful.
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett had this to say when asked by TMZ whether he considers Brady a cheater: “Yes.”
Bennett, who seemed barely interested in talking while waiting for his luggage at an airport and repeatedly checking his phone, acknowledged that there was no cheating in Super Bowl XLIX, that the Patriots blew out the Colts in the AFC title game regardless of any cheating, but that Brady “cheated that one game.”
Bennett also said he believes the four-game suspension of Brady will be upheld.
The discussion then became far more sophisticated, with Bennett explaining that his favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio, and that his favorite DiCaprio movie is What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?
And then Bennett described the movie to TMZ with an term that one was commonly used but that now is widely regarded as offensive.
