The Steelers have now signed their latest next-great-pass-rusher.
Via Ed Bouchette of he Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers have signed first-rounder Bud Dupree to his four-year deal, which is worth around $9.2 million.
The Steelers, like most of the league, are making quick work of rookie signings, with just two picks left (third-rounder Sammie Coates and seventh-rounder Gerod Holliman).
Dupree had 23.5 sacks in his career at Kentucky, and has an opportunity to make a quick impact for the Steelers, who have struggled as of late finding enough young pass-rushers.
Dupree’s explosiveness should help the Steelers, as they try to rebuild a defense that got old in a hurry, and all at the same time.
