APOne of the Ravens’ young wide receivers is reportedly on the mend.
Second-year pro Michael Campanaro sustained a quadriceps injury in Wednesday’s organized team practice activities, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports. The degree of the injury is not yet known, the Sun said.
The 24-year-old Campanaro caught seven passes for 102 yards and one touchdown in four games as a rookie in 2014 for Baltimore, which traded a 2015 sixth-round pick to Cleveland to take Campanaro in Round Seven. He’s likely to at least be one of the Ravens’ top five wide receivers in 2015.
The Ravens’ OTAs this week run through Thursday.
He was constantly hurt last year. Hopefully this is just a glitch as he has some talent, but talent is useless in the training room.
decent player but can’t stay healthy so hope this isn’t serious.
Kid is fragile like an egg shell.
They need to cut him and keep DeAndre Carter.
“as a rookie in 2014 for Baltimore, which traded a 2015 sixth-round pick to Cleveland to take Campanaro in Round Seven.”
And there it is – the Steelers used a 6th rd pick to obtain the services of talented players like Antonio Brown. The ravens use their 6th to trade for a fragile drop-machine that won’t crack the starting line-up of one of the worst receiving groups in the league. That’s the difference between a division winner and a perenniel third-placer.
He will definitely have to be able to jump if he wants any receptions, too!
Dude can’t stay healthy
That’s the difference between a division winner and a perenniel third-placer.
I thought the difference was 13 points between a division winner and that third placer.
30-17

…and who else? Ryan Mundy and Chris Kemoeatu? Every team has an occasional gem in 6 and 7. What should worry you is the first round whiffs from Colbert since Pouncey.

The Ravens used a 1st rd pick to obtain the services of a talented pro bowl player like CJ Mosley. The Steelers used their 1st to draft a fragile non-factor player like Ryan Shazier. That’s the difference between a team that has 6 wins in the last 4 seasons vs their rival and a team that only has 3.
nice pic of him catching a jump ball. #jumpballjoe
Nothing a little deer antler spray can’t fix ain’t that right Ray Lewis. Heck if ngata was still on the team he could’ve just bought the PED’s from him
He can toss all the jump balls he wants as long as he keeps doing it in the playoffs. Fact!
Who cares about wiffs on first round picks or 7th round picks. Everybody makes mistakes. Some teams can draft wide receivers(a Steelers) and others can draft d- linemen(Ravens). Right now it’s the Steelers offense against the Ravens defense that will determine the game. The Raven offense needs lots of help…more than the Steelwr D.
Hurts his quad in a non contact drill? The guy is made from glass.
” The Raven offense needs lots of help…more than the Steelwr D.”
That certainly explains why the Ravens O beat the Steeler D in the last few years, including the playoffs.
Hey now in all fairness they don’t need this guy. They have a 40 year old receiver with a chip on his shoulder along with Torey ummm or I mean ummm that healthy tight end or wait a minute…..aw heck just give it to Ray R…..forget it.

Its one thing to be a Steelers fan and there is another thing to just say stuff that makes no sense. The “Perennial” 3rd place team has won as many division titles as you have in the last five years. They also played in two more AFC title games then you have in the last five years and have one more super bowl ring then you do in the last five years.
This past January your division title got you a 30-17 butt whopping from that 3rd place team, and lets be real it was 30-10 until a garbage time TD padded the score.
Antonio Brown was a rare steal in the 6th round. We can also look at a ton of draft busts your team has. Limas Sweede ring a bell?
Support your team but don’t talk nonsense.
Sucks for camp, I have a feeling this will be the narrative on him in the NFL. I think the Ravens offense is gonna surprise a lot of people this year. Love seeing the steelers fans so clearly shaken because they know how much better then ravens are then them. It’s a real laugher to read the comments
Or we can just compare drafts of the 70’s Steelers, eh DJ, and then make judgment calls about the value of a visionary front office. Point is, we here in Pittsburgh don’t have one and neither do you, in Baltimore, comments about Ozzie being a “genius” notwithstanding.
At the end of the day, Pittsburgh has been blessed with six Super Bowl Championships and Baltimore two, but I will be interested to see how far Tomlin and Colbert can take a team moving forward. Given their failure to address numerous deficiencies in its secondary via some experienced DBs during free agency, I say, ‘not very far’.
Baltimore has its Campanaro, and we have our cast of nobodies in the defensive backfield.
Look at all the Steelers’ fans making fun of an injured player. Look at the all the Steelers’ fans jumping up and down because a guy gets hurt. That’s the dirty Steelers’ way, I suppose. Just remember. Tebow owns you. Flacco owns you. 30-17. 6 Ravens playoff wins since Jan. 2011, 0 Steelers wins. Ravens v. Steelers since Jan 2011: 6-3. LOL.

Shazier cannot be considered fragile, yet. He had his knee and then his ankle rolled up on by his own players. If anything, his reaction time to the NFL game was too slow in the regular season and that helped him get hit by friendly fire. Even if the Steelers took Mosley, Mosley would not have had a major impact for them because a rookie LB never ever thrives in a Lebeau system. Good for the Ravens though. Also, Steelers may have had only 3 wins against their rivals in the last 4 seasons but how many did they have in the previous 14 years?
Pretty sorry state when the Steeler trolls have to hop on a Michael Campanero story, especially to spread the same tired old tripe…
Celebrating an injured Raven is about as close as the Steelers’ fans will ever get to a Superbowl parade. LOL.
If you’re going to count the Super Bowl wins before the Ravens were in town, then you have to count:
3 NFL Championships ( Colts)
Super BOwl 5 ( Colts)
2 more Super Bowls (Ravens)
and for good measure: USFL Championship in 85 (Stars)
and Grey Cup in 95 (Stallions).
