Getty ImagesThe Broncos are once again in the news for an offseason arrest of a member of the front office.
According to Mike Klis of KUSA, John Bowlen Jr., was arrested last night on a domestic violence harassment charge. He was held without bond overnight in the Arapahoe County Jail and has a scheduled court appearance this afternoon.
No other details of the arrest were included.
He’s the son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, who stepped down last summer, announcing he had Alzheimer’s disease.
John Bowlen Jr. still works for the Broncos, and is one of seven children under consideration to take over the team. Or, was.
A story in the Denver Post last year said he “works in a variety of positions” with the team. As such he’d be subject to the league’s conduct policy, as were the drinking and driving personnel men from 2013.
Bet he doesn’t get the team now.
This is a far more serious issue than a little PSI.
Broncos fans should be ashamed and disgraced.
He just has the look of a Turd.
Does this qualify to hit the “reset” button, or is it players only?
This team’s culture of conduct policy infractions is out of control. This looks like a $1.5 million fine and 2 first round draft picks to me
He kinda looks off in that pic.. another rich kid who thinks rules dont apply.
Goodell needs to ban him from the NFL
Nepotism. Dude looks like a drunk duchebag
Don’t worry Bronco fans. His last name isn’t Kraft. Everyone will forget this in a day or two.
time to suspend some players ” ignorance is no excuse “
by the way, you need to update your “10 days without an arrest” notice, assuming it includes all team personnel
Good lord. If you look up Dbag in the dictionary, there has to be a pic of this guys face.
Can’t tell if they have more criminals on the roster or in the front office.

Yeah, you’re right, it is. But you remain an idiot for thinking that the difference between trying to obtain a competitive advantage against the rules of the game is acceptable because say, beating on your spouse is worse. It’s a game, the Patriots cheated (a lot, and through the years) and their legacy is forever tarnished. Just because there are worse crimes that can be committed doesn’t change that.
Gee… I wonder if he’ll be suspended and placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List
Anyone ever stop to think about blaming the women.
Just like every now and then a man gets what he deserves and everyone applauds let’s not jump to conclusions.
Lorena Bobbitt comes to mind when ever I hear these issues pop up. She can cut off a piece of her husband while he is sleeping and she is considered a hero and does not go to jail.
Goodell : Rule 17 NFL footballs were NOT involved in this incident. No suspensions or fines.

It is.
And cheating should still be punished.

Kid will get banned for life meanwhile the cheating dirtbags that have become the skidmarks of the league will put a cheating QB in the HOF.
Let’s go! Your Hero Goodell has to step up..He under reacted to the drunk pill popping owner in Indianapolis..Now take a First and Forth round pick..fine the Broncos 1 million and suspend Elway for the season.. You want you hero to be tough-he was tough over.02psi…Step up CZAR GOODELL and do the right thing for the Integrity of the game!
String him up like the rest of the woman beaters. I doubt he gets the Ray Rice blackball, seeing as how it is his dad’s team, but at least give him the Hardy 10.
This is not the Patriots, he will either get a slap on the wrist or completly ignored.
He looks like the type to say “DO YOU KNOW WHO MY DAD IS?!” or “IF YOU HIT ME I’LL SUE YOU.”
idiot
If he doesnt give up his cellphone. He needs to be banned for the season.
Don’t jump to conclusions.
As is clear from reviewing the Saints’ ownership saga, silver spoons and entitlement are dangerous combinations.
his pops has already forgotten and forgiven. .
I wonder how many people are helping him stand up in that picture
Brady has bottled the 0.5 psi air from the NFL Approved footballs and the bidding on eBay is going through the roof.
The Label states : Win in the Playoffs & SuperBowl with just one bottle.
I see Peyton is the highest bidder right now.

I thought Elway was already in the hall.
Bad beard. Really bad.
“Works in a variety of positions with the team”
“Hey Junior, go clean out the break room fridge again. Also, stop parking your Mercedes in the handicap spot. Oh, and after the fridge thingy you can go home.”
This guy was born on third and thought he he a triple.
Goodell Punishment flowchart:

Ban him Free pass
As punishment. Meaning suspended 4 games a 2 million dollar fine. Two first round and one third round pick. And Bowles Jr is blackballed from working in the league ever again and Biwles Se must sell the team to Stan Kroenke. That should do it.
Just another broncos criminal. Their franchise is like the new 40 whiners, who previously were the new Bengals. Criminals just like their fans. Hahaha!
Elway and Bowlen’s sons seem eager to take up the Joffrey role in NFL nepotism.
Why, when a professional athlete that happens to play on a team you cheer for does something stupid, should the fan be ashamed or disgraced?
D-BAG
Nice sunglasses on the top of his head, like he’s wearing a tiara at a pageant show…
Typical Donkey trash.
Goodell should punish Denver with a 4-game suspension from attending Broncos games for Bowlen Jr., a 1st round pick in 2016, a 4th round pick in 2017 and a $1 million fine.
How is that possible?!!!
Look at that picture. That screams respectable, lovable husband material.
LOL
Future Irsay in the making.
Very convenient since the Arapahoe jail is right next to Donkeyland.
Breaking news, he was just hired to the Cowboys front office.
“Don’t jump to conclusions.”
ok but he sounds like the other nfl abusers who think that the top of a womans head is all that he should have to look at at in his company.
“Or, was.”
nuff said
LOL at the people trying to make comparisons between this and the Patriots’ punishment.
Sounds like there’s a lot of angry Patriots fans out there that are still in denial.
SMH, that’s all I can say.
I can’t wait to hear his excuse.
And of course, the betting line is now open on how Goodell is going to screw this one up.
What is it with children of NFL owners that scream douche? Mark Davis, Benson’s children, John Bowlen, etc.
LOL at all these envious cheat fans
How did the Patriots cheat if the NFL says there was no impact on the AFCCG in connection with what the wells report and the Goodell claim the patriots did?
Is this like when a wife says her husband cheated because he wanted to have sex with another woman but didn’t? I always thought that sounded like the husband didn’t cheat.
I know it seems absurd, suspending the best player in he history of the league for four games and taking away millions in salary from him, fining the team $1 MM, and docking the team 2 draft picks including the the 1st round pick in the 2016 draft when there was no impact on any game but that’s Goodell’s story and he’s sticking to it.
Hey, no one even knows what happened yet!
A friend of mine was arrested for domestic violence and it turned out he didn’t even touch her. She made the whole thing up but the cops on the scene has no choice but to put handcuffs on my friend based strictly on her word.
It got sorted out in the end and I don’t condone domestic violence but sometimes in a heated argument, women have the upper hand just based on what they tell the cops.
Just saying.
For all the whining Mary’s from NE, he is not a player or a coach. He is just a D-bag.
So your references to suspensions and draft picks just show your ignorance and willingness to support cheaters.
Sweaty, and creepy never looked so bad than on this turd!
There are 7 Bowlen children and it was made clear to all of them that the team needs to be earned and will not be given to any of them. Safe to say this one is out of the running.
“My Daddy is rich and I can do whatever I want.”
“This is a far more serious issue than a little PSI.

Why should the Broncos fans be ashamed? They didn’t tell him to commit such a horrible act. The majority of them probably didn’t even know who he was. Coming from a Colts fan, by the way.

They knowingly broke a rule. The result of the game is irrelevant. Actual cheating is actual cheating. Poor analogy, by the way.
Repeat Offenders
In 2013 Broncos team executives Wells and Heckert were found guilty of DUI and were suspended for one month by the Broncos.

WHO CARES? Fire him. Team wont miss a beat.
I wonder how Peyton really feels about 0.5 psi and Brady right now?
A.) “GREAT – AWESOME – HIGH FIVE my Forehead. Home Field advantage through the playoffs !!!”
B.) He FINALLY got caught.
C.) Tom is my friend and this is a witch hunt.
D.) 0.5 psi has nothing to do with what my fellow QB accomplished in the playoffs & ESPECIALLY in SB XLIX – Any top ten QB knows that !!!
This’d be bad news for most NFL teams, but since it’s the Broncos, it’ll be swept under the rug….
Just another day at the office in Denver….
Slapping the wife around doesn’t much impress the other owners. Any one of them can do that. He won’t be welcomed into the club unless he has a talent for public extortion, or tax evasion, or illegal campaign contributions, or bribing judges, or illegal TV deals. Something the other owners can identify with. Failing that, the league office will come down on him, at least publicly.
Did you see Goodell when he handed the Patriots the Lombardi trophy after they beat the Seahawks in the most dramatic super bowl in history?
Roger looked like someone just ran over his dog.
This is a far more serious issue than a little PSI.

One is a crime off the field in their personal life. The other is trying to gain what is perceived to be an advantage that affects the outcome of a game by cheating. 2 totally different scenarios.
Being a Patriots fan makes me support suspensions and fines of other teams even less.
Of course the Broncos should not be fined for what this guy did (if it is true). He personally should be held accountable, not the team.
Everyone else in connection with the team already suffers for having to put up with this fool.
Spoiled rich kid alert
This is a far more serious issue than a little PSI.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Three Month $5,000,000.00 investigation that ends with GUILTY without any CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE.
Two weeks of SLANDER, False NFL Leaks from Goodell’s office prior to accused playing in the SuperBowl. Two NFL games with the Highest NFL scrutiny in the entire history of the NFL.
EXTREMELY EXCESSIVE Punishment for 0.5 psi that Scientific Law exonerates the accused.
Continued DEFIANCE & Lack of INTEGRITY by Goodell in abusing his authority/position.
Far more serious INDEED.
Billionaire owners’ sons generally get off with very little consequence in such cases. One of Lamar Hunt’s sons (not the current owner) sexually assaulted his mentally disabled sister-in-law and it was settled out-of-court. No jail time. The same will probably occur in this case with Pat Bowlen’s son.

And what rule did they knowingly break Mr. Mensa? The balls, both Colts and Patriots, were deflated by mother nature. There is no proof that anyone deflated any balls once they were inspected. If there is PROOF, please Mr. Mensa, let us all know what it is.
I am expecting no credible replies.
I hate to be repetitive but the Patriots were not caught cheating.
No deflation in the balls other than weather related per the NFL’s own expert. Wells had to fudge the numbers to say otherwise.
No evidence that anyone connected to the Patriots did anything to the balls. However, an NFL employee was caught stealing balls to sell and trying to put a ball back to keep from getting caught (ESPN initially said the Patriots did this and ran with the story for days before being made to look like idiots).
NFL stated Brady didn’t deflate balls.
NFL stated there was no impact on the AFCCG due to deflation (if they did, they would have had to say it benefited he Colts who played with deflated balls the whole game).
It helps to read and pay attention to details.

I agree with the first part of your statement, but the part about “ignorance and willingness to support cheaters” made me laugh – as if the Broncos weren’t one of the league’s worst offenders.
He could be Irsay’s kid by the story. Wonder what goes on at those owners meetings.
John Bowlen Jr., son of former Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, was arrested for domestic violence last night. If he is guilty of anything, Roger Goodell should actually commence the process of negotiating a third-party arbitrator for personal conduct. I say this because the commissioner, who is employed by all the owners, should not be left in the position to discipline one of his bosses. Since all NFL employees are subject to the conduct policy, it would be better, if Roger hand the position of punishment decider to someone else.
he looks like Devin Shipiro
Never want to see that happen. My guess is Jr. will not be an owner.
Also- Why do patsy fans continue to whine about their team getting caught cheating?
It’s not always about you, chowds.
Get over yourselves.
Your team cheats and has a culture of cheating. Your owner runs around in public with pros.
Patriot fans are THE WORST.
Just waiting for the juvenile/simpleton response of – “you hate us because you aint us.”
Jerks.
Lol at the patriots fans calling for draft picks and fines….. hahahahahahahahaba most rediculous thing ever. You tools are just butthurt because your team got caught cheating…… again!
@tigerlilac: You have issues that need to be addressed by a professional.
I expect no credible reply.
How in the heck is “John Bowlen Jr.” The son I’d “Patrick Debis -Pat- Bowlen”??? Wouldn’t he have to either be Pat Bowlen Jr, or the son of John Bowlen??
What a bunch of drooling fools on here. A crime that results in a $1000 O.R. bond and no restraining order means that basically nothing more than a argument happened. All the NE morons want ANYTHING to draw ANY attention from the cheat Messiah. Draft picks? Hah! Banishment? Ha! The kid is the son of the owner and delegated to meaningless chores to earn a allowance just like millions of trust fund babies in thousands of companies. You really think that he cares what you think of his photos? Ha! Think he cares about being on leave? Ha! Dude will still lead a life that makes your panties moist even if he never steps foot in the building again. Being the son of a Billionaire has perks whiners, deal with that fact.
Not even a story. The Denver Broncos do not win NEARLY enough for this to be news.
In response to the one comment that I actually agree with the rate of domestic violence in the U.S. Is 12.5% a year so to have less then 1% of NFL players and staff accused per year I would say the NFL and its players are doing a fantastic job in preventing domestic violence. Just because they make the news when the other 12 million cases per year do not does not make it an epidemic and I do not condone it but I think it is blown way way out of proportion. The NFL actually does a fantastic job fighting it according to all stats so stop thinking it’s an NFL issue when it’s a everyday ordinary person issue way more often!
Disappointing to see this become team-charged rhetoric. If he’s guilty as charged, he’s a scumbag, plain and simple. I’m a Pats fan, so I don’t love the Broncos of the present era, they’re a rival and a worthy adversary. But I don’t care if this guy is named Bowlen or Kraft or Mara or Rooney, people like this need not be associated with the NFL. I’m not rooting for Denver to lose picks or anything, I’m not sure this guy even has a title with the team. But the NFL needs to step up and make a strong statement against this issue, it’s really out of control, and you hardly hear of this stuff happening in other leagues.
His old man is a a**clown, if you can’t see that he is a little mentally off you’re kidding yourself, look like a seat sniffer.
So the fans should be ashamed and disgraced? Not the owner’s son who actually committed domestic violence?
Funny how we get more Patriots comments on a Broncos story…or on any story involving the other 31 teams…@johny248-It’s possible that Pat Bowlen’s first name could be John, you think?
June 2nd, 2014 – Jack Elway, John Elway’s son drags woman out of car by her hair.
While innocent until proven guilty, and women can take advantage in these situations, it’s hard to give the benefit of the doubt to a Bronco’s front office already riddled with alcoholism and violence towards women.
Harvey Steinberg on line 1
(Same lawyer that got Jack Elway, Bill Romanowski, Brandon Marshall, and Parrish Cox free of charges despite mounds of evidence. Popular guy in Denver)
He gives a whole new meaning to “There’s something wrong with this picture.”
“@tigerlilac: You have issues that need to be addressed by a professional.
I expect no credible reply.”
Mullman, my issue is that I defend people who are unjustly accused.
Mass persecution of individuals is one of society’s ugliest predispositions.
I back up what I say with facts, not faith.
That is not always popular.
In the case of Brady, he is easy to defend because the facts so heavily favor his exoneration while pointing to the NFL’s initial rush to judgment and subsequent cover-up of its own mistakes.
This is a far more serious issue than a little PSI.
===================================
That’s why we have a legal system to deal with issues like that. The legal system doesn’t exist to deal with issues of integrity in the NFL, though – they have a Commissioner who handles those things. The suspension stands, despite your petty attempt to dilute it with inapt comparisons.
Regishawk, since there is no actual proof that the footballs were deflated illegally or that Brady had anything to do with a scheme that may or may not have existed, the suspension will not stand as it is.
It’s a preponderance of evidence. Quit trying to act like it’s the Hindenberg trial.
Is he buddies with Elway’s son?? They probably go on double (assault) dates…
