They’ve spun the revolving door and they’re back down to three quarterbacks in Washington, again.
Via the league’s daily personnel notice, Washington has waived undrafted rookie quarterback Hutson Mason, to make room for the signing of tackle Bryce Quigley.
Mason was signed after previous fourth quarterback Connor Halliday decided to do something other than try to play football for a living. The former Georgia quarterback had appeared at their rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, and made enough of an impression to earn a longer look.
But apparently it wasn’t enough of one, as they’ve decided to just keep Robert Griffin III, Colt McCoy and Kirk Cousins at a time when teams are carrying 90-man rosters and running a lot of reps.
