The Detroit Lions have signed former Oakland Raiders tight end David Ausberry.
Ausberry, 27, was a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders in 2011. He appeared in 34 games over four years with the Raiders, but played in just six games the last two seasons due to injuries.
Ausberry has caught seven passes for 120 yards in his career.
The Lions waived defensive back Nathan Lindsey to clear room for Ausberry on their roster.
