The number of draft picks left unsigned has been dropping on Friday and it is down to three with the Raiders’ announcement that they’ve signed the final member of their 2015 class.

Oakland announced Friday that they have signed defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. to a four-year contract. Edwards Jr. was a second-round pick last month and is one of 10 rookies that joined the Raiders in the draft.

Edwards Jr. played in various spots in the Florida State front seven and had eight sacks and three forced fumbles in 36 appearances with the Seminoles. Those numbers are probably going to have to go up for him to fulfill the Raiders hope that he can provide pass rush as a complement to Khalil Mack in their defense. Given the lack of other appealing options at end, Edwards Jr. should get the opportunity to show he can as a rookie.

Two Colts -- third-round defensive end Henry Anderson and cornerback D’Joun Smith -- and Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota are the only picks left unsigned from the entire draft. That makes now as good a time as any to kick off The Final Countdown.
