Antonio Brown: I can be the best in the world

Wide receiver Antonio Brown was a late arrival to the team’s offseason workout program, but he was right on time for training camp on Saturday.

Brown arrived in style as well. Brown made his entrance to camp in a Rolls Royce painted in Steelers colors with his signature painted on the doors, which he noted was a big change from the Jeep Wrangler he used to get to his first Steelers camp. Brown’s game has also skyrocketed over the last six seasons, which is why his absence from the first week of offseason work led to speculation that Brown wanted a fatter contract.

On Saturday, Brown said he “never really told anyone I’d hold out” and that the Steelers gave him a “great deal” before the 2012 season. As a result, Brown says his focus is on the field and not on the contracts being signed by other top receivers.
“You get caught up thinking about the future, you lose sight of the present,” Brown said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “What I’m here to do today is show how hard I’ve been working, showcase that I can still be the best in the world.”

Brown’s 129 catches and 1,698 receiving yards last season made a pretty good case for that standing and more of the same in 2015 should bring Brown much closer to a Rolls Royce contract.
