Logan Paulsen is Washington’s second tight end out for season

AP

For the second time this week, Washington has lost a tight end for the season.

Coach Jay Gruden confirmed that tight end Logan Paulsen will undergo season-ending surgery on his big right toe. Paulsen suffered the injury in practice last week.

Washington previously lost a good pass-catching tight end, Niles Paul, to a season-ending injury. Now the team has lost its best blocking tight end in Paulsen.

Another Washington tight end, Jordan Reed, is currently dealing with a hamstring injury.

Chris Cooley, Washington on line 1

What about those “Jumbo” packages where 6 offensive linemen play?

Apparently everyone is using those when only the Pats do with Cameron Fleming.

Also, Dustin Keller should get a call too.

He shouldn’t be on the street when Cooley does.

Ok, Scot McCloughan….. let’s see what you got.

His name was Logan Paulsen. His name was Logan Paulsen. HIS NAME WAS LOGAN PAULSEN.

Zach Miller or David Ausberry would be a better choice however, Cooley is a name the fans know and will allow them to justify Super Bowl talk.

Besides I believe that Chris Cooley is still employed by Dan Snyder doing AM radio for the team.

A whole season for just a toe?

    Cut it off, you wimp!

The Washington R-Words are cursed as long as Dan Snyder owns the team.

Every team will have injuries; it is not if but when. Then it will be how you react to your misfortune as the door opens for someone who know one (except for Scot with one t and every personnel man in the NFL) has ever heard of to have a chance to be on an NFL roster. I remember one year back in the day the Dolphins lost like 7 linebackers by week 5. Next man up.

Go Red Mesa High School Redskins. 100% Navajo.

  18. skins1970 says: Aug 15, 2015 7:01 PM

Maybe the Redskins should consider signing Weslye Saunders.

  19. thesmartestmanever says: Aug 15, 2015 7:46 PM

If I can just get past the irony Jordan Reed is our healthiest starter and his Hammys hurt. I say convert Preston Smith and go beast on everybody. HTTR!!!!

Okay, next bench OL who once played TE in pop-warner, you’re in the game!

Logan Paulsen is REDSKINS second tight end out for season

  22. defscottyb says: Aug 15, 2015 10:30 PM

#47 CAPTAIN Chaos Chris Cooley will be signed book it! #HTTR

  23. skins1970 says: Aug 15, 2015 10:52 PM

No to Chris Cooley remember Scot says he does not like to sign FAs who are older then 32 years old in his press conference and also he has bad knees. I think the Skins sign someone like Weslye Saunders or go with the kids they have or add a extra big body to block.

  24. mrbiggstuff says: Aug 15, 2015 11:20 PM

When Chris Cooley is a viable option for your team, perhaps you should start looking forward to 2016.

Hey, he can’t be any worse on th field than he is on the radio.

  25. sidepull says: Aug 16, 2015 7:13 AM

Compton Olineman=blocking TE. They dd it last year some.

Develop from within. Youngsters need to step up. Injuries and sports go hand in hand. Nobody ever heard of you and a couple good games and your famous!

Injuries are not so funny when it happens to your team.

  26. skins1970 says: Aug 16, 2015 8:34 AM

The Redskins have said Chris Cooley is not an option.

  27. cjmullysr says: Aug 16, 2015 9:17 AM

    Fred Davis

  28. defscottyb says: Aug 16, 2015 12:01 PM

Cooley can mentor the young TE’s… sign him to a one year league minimum deal. He’s only 33 not 43.

  29. defscottyb says: Aug 16, 2015 12:05 PM

Fred Davis is on the NE practice squad… maybe sign him.

  30. skins1970 says: Aug 16, 2015 12:34 PM

Fred Davis has been talked about too but he isn’t going to be signed either Scott hass aid he doesn’t like to sign FAs who are 33 years or older because they are usuually coming to an end of their careers thinking about retirement. Anyways we don’t need resigning anybody from the Vinny Cerrato era.

  31. skins1970 says: Aug 16, 2015 12:53 PM

I just saw Scot is willing to go with Jordan Reed,Ja’Ron Hamm, Chase Dixon and Devin Mehina unless a young vet is cut when teams cut down to 53.
