Bills plan to promote IK Enemkpali to active roster

Buffalo Bills v Cleveland Browns

Jason Miller

There might not have been many teams willing to give IK Enemkpali a chance after he broke his quarterback’s jaw in New York.

But the Bills are worried about somebody stealing him away.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bills plan to promote Enemkpali to the active roster out of fear someone will try to snatch him up while he’s suspended.

He’s expected to be suspended at least four games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, so putting him on the 53 won’t necessarily cost them a roster spot while he’s being punished.

But it does make it clear they’re serious about giving a chance to a guy who has punched at least three people — Geno Smith, a female impersonator named “Missy Lee” in Louisiana and an off-duty cop.

And they’re apparently convinced someone else is willing to take him on as well.
