The Buccaneers now have one fewer running back, and an open roster spot.

The team announced they waived Mike James Tuesday, and didn’t immediately fill the vacancy.

James was their sixth-round pick in 2013, and had started three games the previous two seasons. He was a game-day inactive each of the first three weeks this year.

The Bucs are expected to fill the roster spot before practicing tomorrow (maybe they wanted to shop at the Bears fire sale first).

They also shuffled their practice squad, releasing cornerback Imoan Claiborne and re-signing defensive tackle Derrick Lott.
