Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said earlier this week that running back Marshawn Lynch would have an MRI on his injured hamstring and that the team would formulate a plan for him once the results were back.
Based on a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, it doesn’t look like that plan will involve ruling him out well before they take on the Lions next Monday night. Schefter reports that Lynch is has a “50-50" chance to play against Detroit.
Because they are playing on Monday, the Seahawks won’t release their first injury report of the week until Thursday and Lynch typically takes it easy in the first practice of the week even when there aren’t injury concerns, so there’s not much reason to think there will be clarity about his outlook before the weekend.
Lynch hasn’t missed a game since 2011 and Thomas Rawls, who topped 100 yards last Sunday, would likely get the starting nod if he isn’t able to play.
