The Steelers got wide receiver Martavis Bryant back from his four-game suspension on Monday, which should provide a nice boost to the offense until and after Ben Roethlisberger returns from his knee injury.

Pittsburgh’s defense also got some good news on Monday when linebacker Ryan Shazier took the field with his teammates. Shazier has missed the last two games due to a nerve problem in his shoulder, but said Monday that he feels like he’s on track to face the Chargers at this time next week.

“It’s feeling a whole lot better,” Shazier said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I definitely feel like I can play this week.”

Getting Shazier back should help after the Steelers allowed 167 yards on the ground against the Ravens in last Thursday’s loss. Shazier had 22 tackles in the first two games of the season.

Defensive tackle Daniel McCullers also missed the last two games and also practiced for the Steelers on Monday. He’d give the Steelers some more depth up front to use against Melvin Gordon next Monday.
