Coughlin: “We’re going to have to see” if Beckham, Randle can go

Odell Beckham was able to return to the game long enough to draw a key pass interference penalty in the fourth quarter on Sunday night, but the Giants were rolling with Dwayne Harris, Geremy Davis and Myles White as their receivers for part of their comeback attempt against the 49ers.

Beckham and Rueben Randle both suffered hamstring injuries during the course of the game with Randle’s seeming more serious even before Beckham made his way back to the field based on the way the team immediately ruled out the possibility of a return. On Monday, coach Tom Coughlin didn’t have much of an update as to their conditions.

Coughlin said, via Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, that “we’re going to have to see” how the players respond in the next few days and that he hopes they’ll be able to take part in practice as at least limited participants when the Giants get back to work. With a Monday night game against the Eagles in Week Six, the Giants won’t release an injury report until Thursday.

Coughlin also said it was possible that the Giants would add a receiver to the roster this week with Beckham and Randle banged up and Victor Cruz’s immediate future a giant question mark. Wes Welker and Hakeem Nicks worked out for the team recently and they could have more players in this week.
