Del Rio says MRI on Tuck “not good”

Justin Tuck

The MRI on the injured shoulder of Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck was “not good,” Raiders coach Jack Del Rio told reporters Wednesday.

Del Rio declined to speculate about Tuck’s long-term status or if the team has decided on how it will proceed.

The Raiders don’t play until Oct. 25, so the team will take its time making any decisions. The Raiders already used their lone injured reserve/designated for return slot on safety Nate Allen.

Tuck, 32, is in his second season with the Raiders after nine with the Giants. He has one sack and three pass deflections this season.

He was injured in the fourth quarter of last week’s game vs. the Broncos.

Behind Tuck on the depth chart is rookie Mario Edwards Jr. Edwards played 50 defensive snaps and started last week’s game, recording six tackles and a half sack.
