Since Josh Johnson wasn’t available to stand around while they wonder if their quarterback can play this week with a shoulder injury, the Jaguars had to go find someone else.

Via the Associated Press, the Jaguars added Jeff Tuel to their practice squad, giving them a third quarterback on the roster.

With Blake Bortles suffering a sprained throwing shoulder, the Jags have a bit of uncertainty at the position, and they were only carrying two on the roster.

So with Bortles not expected to practice today, they needed someone to work the scout team while Chad Henne prepares with the starters.

The Jaguars claimed Tuel off waivers from the Bills in June, and he was with them through training camp before being cut in August. He only played in one preseason game.
