The Bills offense is dealing with several injuries right now, including the calf injury that has kept wide receiver Sammy Watkins from playing the last two weeks.

Watkins practiced on Wednesday and said after the session that he plans to be in the lineup against the Bengals this weekend. Watkins answered a question about the state of his calf by saying “if it pops, it pops” and said that he thought his presence would make a big difference for the offense.

“I understand the presence of me on the field,” Watkins said, via Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News. “I feel like the offense has been basic without me out there. ... Defenses have been having their way with just stacking the box with the run game. ... I think I’m going to open a lot of things up.”

It’s still not clear who will be playing quarterback this week with Tyrod Taylor dealing with a knee injury. The Bills haven’t made any call on Taylor, but Watkins shared his thoughts when he said he thinks EJ Manuel is “going to have a monster game” against Cincinnati.
