Rams coach Jeff Fisher has already deflected a few questions about Los Angeles, and he did it again Tuesday.
Because Fisher is a USC alum and because the head coaching job there is open, Fisher was asked about it. He had his answer ready.
Fisher said he’s not interested in the job, citing a commitment to Rams owner Stan Kroenke.
Yes, it’s already speculation season. Fisher’s name has come up before in relation to the USC job, and it’s going to come up again. It’s just part of the business.
It will be a while before we really know anything about that job or where the Rams are playing next year. For now, though, there’s nothing surprising about how Fisher addresses either situation.
