Report: Percy Harvin is frustrated, but not planning to retire

A new report has called into question the previous report that Bills receiver Percy Harvin is contemplating retirement.

After today’s report from the Buffalo News that Harvin was considering calling it a career, ESPN reported that while Harvin has grown increasingly frustrated with hip and knee injuries, he is not contemplating retirement.

Harvin did not make the trip to London with the Bills this week. The Bills described Harvin as out for “personal reasons” and said his absence was not injury related.

That could indicate that there’s a disagreement between Harvin and the Bills about whether he’s ready to go. Perhaps the Bills’ medical staff is saying that Harvin’s injuries aren’t too much for him to play through, but Harvin thinks otherwise.

Harvin is an excellent playmaker when he’s ready to go, but he has been limited throughout his career by migraines and nagging injuries. It’s anyone’s guess when -- or if -- he’ll be back on the field for the Bills.
