APLast year, after the 49ers lost 19-3 to the Seahawks at home on Thanksgiving night, owner Jed York personally apologized — and the daughter of G.M. Trent Baalke sounded off.
This year, the 49ers lost 20-3 to the Seahawks at home. There have been no public proclamations of apology, and no Twitter rants. Yet. But there could be something, eventually.
“I’ve heard whispers behind the scenes that something big could happen,” Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com said after Thursday’s game. “I don’t know what it’s going to be. I don’t know what they’re talking about. But clearly the 49ers can’t go on this way. The coaching staff looks overmatched, the players look overmatched. The 49ers were plain and simple overmatched today against a team that came in with four losses. . . . There are a lot of very upset people in the 49ers organization.”
The most obvious target for change is quarterback, where Colin Kaepernick is now 1-6 against the Seahawks and way too inconsistent to continue to deserve to play.
The fact that the 49ers would even consider using Blaine Gabbert shows just how poorly Kaepernick has done.

Jim Harbaugh is laughing hysterically
I could see the Niners part ways with Kap within a year or two. Big mistake to give him that fat contract.
They have been waiting for the “Big One” in California for a long time.
Kap in NOT a pocket QB. He needs to run like other QB’s to have success. Redskins stopped rg3 from running and looked what happened. Teams used to fear Kap running. Now teams are excited to play him and the 49ers.
Ya, Jaws told us that Kap is (or was at the time) the best QB in football.
Clearly Jaws is an idiot or doesn’t know what he is talking about, or both.
Was Harbaugh that good of a coach?

1st round draft pick to the Eagles for Chip Kelly?
Please let the big news be that Eddie DeBartolo is taking the team back from his sister and her incompetent husband, Jed York.
Nooo! We love him as the 49ers QB. Signed, 12s everywhere.
Fire sale I guess.
Gee ya think? Because whatever that was last night cannot be allowed to continue. For everyone’s sake.
Sounds a lot like an earthquake prediction.
I heard on Mike and Mike this am that Kaepernick would be better suited running Chip Kelly’s offense.
Who hired the coaching staff?
Who built the roster?
Who forced out a top 5 coach?
Need I show you exactly where the buck should stop? Anyone home McFly!!!! Hello!! Hello!!
Coach Burgundy and Colin with form a family band, and tour the countryside, and you won’t be invited!
People forget it was only months ago the Seahawks pondered not re-signing Marshawn. If they let Lynch go, and the 49ers kept Gore people would be saying these exact things about Russell Wilson rather than Kaepernick.
Kap to Buffalo.

Sorry, wishful thinking I guess.
I’m shocked that York’s hand picked coaching staff which consists of a door mat salesman turned oline coach, a radio talk show host, a belichek cast off and someone who mis-spells “Jeep” as their name is horribly under-qualified and never looks prepared.
When your owner presides over one of the worse meltdowns in football and allows one of the best coaches in the NFL to leave for Michigan where he is flourishing the only solution is an ownership change
Why would the Eagles want him? He doesn’t use his greatest strength, his legs anymore. Last night he had a 2 yard run for a first down right in front of him, approached the line of scrimmage, backed off, and threw another pass in the dirt.
Kaepernick is better than Brady. Fact.

Seriously. I mean, there are kids watching this. Won’t someone think of the children?
I got to the words “Blaine Gabbert” and laughed so hard I think I pulled a muscle.
Who that coach in Michigan?
I would say fire sale, but what do they have to sale? Anything of value left?
A big “I SOWWY” gift basket for Jim Harbaugh?
Is this like when Irsay promised something big and then ended up trading for Trent Richardson? I suppose that was a big deal, just not in the way he intended.
Ownership looked over matched
I would be ok if Kap was traded to my Texans. We have needed a qb for like all my life now.
Dumbest thing they could do is fire the coach. Ride out a bad season, and draft a new line.
Parting out the team for Draft picks might not be the best answer but is an option
Unless it is a DeBartolo buyout, it likely won’t be big enough
Why would the Eagles or any other team want this guy? He sucks..
Get rid of baalke & tomsula since we cant get rid of York.

His contract makes him untradeable. Besides, even Kelly wouldn’t make that move
Gabbert can easily be a game manager , he does not have to carry the franchise , just put the ball on the weapons he has on offense and they are good.
Bring in Eddie D to reset the organization.
“The fact that the 49ers would even consider using Blaine Gabbert shows just how poorly Kaepernick has done.”
What “Fact”? Nothing in the story refers to any “Fact” re the 49’ers plans… only vague speculation about “something big”.
Just thing that Keapernick has played in as many SB as Mr. Rodgers.
I remember in 2012-2013 all the people saying kaep was better than Russell Wilson and rg3. I laughed then and I laugh now
“Kaepernick is better than Brady. Fact.”
There it is, the most stupid thing I’ll read all day.
Kap to the Bills to reunite with his OC.

Blaine Gabbert has better career numbers than Kirk Cousins. That’s a start!
Alewatcher – just fell off my chair, thanks. That almost made my eyes bleed last night
The qb gets too much credit/blame for a teams performance. After watching last nites mole killing grenade/anti aircraft missile performance by Kaepernick, maybe the qb in this case deserves a lot of blame.
Wait, I thought these “read option” QB’s were the wave of the future. More like a passing fad that NFL D-Coordinators just needed a season or two to figure out.
When your coach has a blank stare with his mouth open, you’re in trouble.
It seems like just a few short years ago he was unstoppable. What happened!?!
Coaching and schemes are so underrated. Kaepernick is proof. This guy got to the Super Bowl and dominated for multiple seasons…suddenly he “sucks”? I don’t buy it.
The 49ers had a staff that put Kaep in a position to succeed. Those staff members are now gone and Kaep is not being used in a way that suits his strengths. Voila.
Clearly, York wants to get back to the good ole days of Dennis Erickson.
Blaine Gabbert is another in a long line of fat White Texas kids that Missouri found to play quarterback…at a program where collecting SEC Network Checks suffices for winning.
What the hell is happening in San Francisco? This is a team that came within an offensive series of winning a Super Bowl a couple of years ago…
So do you replace the entire staff and bring other guys in during a bye week?
The first overall pick in the NFL draft is something big indeed.
Kaep for Alex Smith, teeheeee
Who has it better?
–MICHIGAN!!!
Safe to say only Cam and Dalton came out of the 2011 qb draft class with a shot at a legit starting career in the NFL.
Bring back Eddie D, Holmgren as GM and David Shaw as coach. Then send little Jed back to Ohio or whever this clown grew up!
A change in ownership is the only change that might work.
I apologize if this comes off as me trying to troll the ‘Niners fans. I can assure you, I’m not. That said…
It almost seems like York/Baalke tried to sink the team, like in the movie “Major League” wherein the owner wanted to tank the team so she could move it, but why would they? They have a nice new stadium, and people fantasize about moving to the bay area, not away from it.
I can’t even begin to imagine that it could be about draft order (as in “Suck For Luck”), as they lost so many good players that it would take several drafts to replace their production.
Any thoughts, ‘Niners fans? Is there possibly some crazy, underhanded reason that they could want to tank the season or are they just that incompetent? And again, I swear to Jebus I’m not trying to troll you guys, I’m just trying to make sense of it all.
What could the 49ers have done? They lost like 10 guys to various things this offseason. It was a lost season regardless. This is a surprise?
Hey, does anyone know anything about this Kap to the Eagles rumor?
Nothing short of Gamble replacing Baalke will have any positive longterm effect, since the team is stuck with Jed and John York.
They’re the joke of the NFL when they couldn’t make it work with Harbaugh.
Generally speaking, the team with the best players win. The 9ers just don’t have the players after a horrible off season. These are the times that try men’s souls
This team is going to be rebuilding for the next few years. Time to find out who is a real fan.
jaws said no such thing.
he said kap’s skill set means the sky’s the limit and that he could turn out to be one of the best.
all moot now, but except for that dope mike greenberg, most folks were hyping potential.
Denver-SF, Manning for Kap. It’d make sense for Denver – Kap might blossom in Kubiak’s system when it’s run how it’s intended – and SF would get to unload Kap’s contract and take one that’s expiring soon, while also getting a nice PR boost from having PFM in town.
Think I remember there being a no-trade clause in Manning’s re-negotiation from the summer though, plus I don’t think Denver would risk taking a PR hit from jettisoning Manning during his twilight.
Ah well. It’ll be interesting to see what happens, regardless.

Bradford for Kaep straight up seems like a decent move for both teams? On paper they seem to fit better on the other team.
Not a statement on if either one is really an NFL QB but at least their strengths seem to play to the other teams better than the ones they are currently on.
Something may happen lol
To be fair to Kap, though I don’t think he’s great, he really didn’t have a lot of windows to throw in. Their o-,line was sooooooo bad yesterday.
adztheman, Gabbert is from the St Louis area. Nice try though.
Kap is Jed’s scapegoat for his money printing machine this year. Next year it’s Baalke. Then maybe he’ll get around to firing Tomu in 2017
I just don’t understand how a NFL team can hire a coach like Jim Tomsula to be their head coach. I mean this is the NFL. A team should be able to have its pick of the best of the best coaches, the very elite coaches to be their head coach.
Jed York and Baalke scorched to earth in search for their head coach only to come up with a coach who has years of experience as a janitor, a newspaper delivery man, and a furniture salesman.
There’s not anything right about the hire. It’s wrong on every level.
1. 7 years of NFL experience, 0 years of D1 college experience. Which Means he has no formula to win games at a high level. Only football he knows is Mike Nolan/Singetary football, and he doesn’t have a network of coaches to put together a good NFL coaching staff.
2.Hiring Tomsula would cost them most of their existing staff as no one but the crumbs off of Harbaugh’s coaching table wanted to coach for Tomsuka.
3.No coordinating experience. This team just went through the Singletary Era. A coach that was held back from his lack of coordinating experience and offensive acumen, and they hire Tomsula, another coach who lacks coordinating experience and offensive acumen.
4.There is no precedent of a NFL head coach, promoted from D Line coach, who lacked coordinator experience that succeeded. The last one- Rod Marinelli went 0-16.
I could go on and on. People talk about you cant tell if Tomsula is qualified to be an NFL coach 7 games in to his era….Man, all I have to do is look at Tomsula’s resume’ and tell you he’s nowhere near qualified to be an NFL head coach.
If I were a NFL GM I wouldn’t even interview Tomsula, but if I did one of my first questions would be. “What kind of staff would your put together. Give me some names.” As soon as he mentioned Chris Foerster as O Line coach…. I’ll stand up, shake his hand, and say…..”you lose, good day, sir”. ***willy wonka voice**
Using Kaep all the wrong way. Poor Kaeps biceps haven’t been loved in weeks. I think I saw them rubbin up on Richard Sherman when he wasn’t lookin. Nobodyhasitbetter?
At least I didn’t have to hear the stadium referred to as “The Big Bell-bottom” what a vomitous moniker that is.
Did someone say they might be sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?
The Eagles would not want Kaepernick. Bradford isn’t perfect, but he is only 6 games into learning a new system and still working off the rust from not playing the last 2 years add that too the fact they had OL issues the first 4 games and I’m not sure they know what his real upside is yet.
He has gotten better every game why give up on that after what they traded?
Even if they didn’t have to trade anything to get Kaepernick I’m not sure based on how he has played they would roll the dice on that long term cap liability mid season?
That contract is a killer based on his play.
Defenses adjusted to Kaepernick’s strengths, and he hasn’t been able to improve as a passer to be able to take advantage of that.
The contract is actually team-friendly (incentive-heavy); it would not be a salary-cap disaster if they had to cut him.
Sending Kap to the Eagles – jason laconfora just tweeted this.
I should be revelling in their misery, but it’s just too tragic. Jed York is a clown and deserves the scorn heaped upon him. The Harbaugh/Carroll rivalry was awesome and produced some of the best games to watch.
You didn’t just hurt your team, Jed, you hurt football. You suck!
A couple days ago I heard Vernon Davis could be traded in the next couple weeks
ok, ok…I wanna play:
“Sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?”
Bringing back Jerry Rice to teach them the proper way to apply stickum.
Not blamining the QB on this. He wasn’t allowed to pass in critical situations. He also has no weapons. Boldin is so slow it looks like he jogs. Vernon Davis is a step slower. Torrey Smith is a 1 trick pony and can’t always get open downfield. The play calling is terrible and predictable. The didn’t draft any talent to help the QB. This season is on the owner and front office. It’s a shame they killed a good team. I wonder if they forgot how terrible it was to have a bad coach? Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan, Mike Singletary? Finally got a winning coach, and let him go for no reason. The 9ers have underestimated the value of a great coach.
Kaepernick to the Eagles for Sam Bradford maybe?? honestly, i doubt that happens, it’s likely either a coaching change or one of his WRs gets traded.
Kap looks scared nowadays, compared to two years removed from the SB run. Teams have learned how to contain running QBs (except Wilson).
Kap really needs to work on making quick reads, and getting rid of ball. He did have a few open receivers, but he got discombobulated by the rushing D line. Can’t put it all on his shoulders, as his protection was horrendous.
Absent of any judgement on his ability as a head coach, Tomsula had no chance. The locker room was already fractured (heck, they were in two different locker rooms) under Harbaugh. Most of the veterans who held the team together have gone. None of the young talent got snaps because the front office over-drafted. There are 2 former head coaches on the coaching staff with, certainly, their own opinions on how things should be done. The hiring of player-favorite Tomsula said one thing to me: The team was looking for its heart, but the last 3 seasons have just been one heartbreak after another.
York is a tool, younger version of Snyder. He’s screwed the Bay Area fans for years to come now just because of his ego and silver spoon life. Jim Bob Tom Sue La is way overmatched.
Remember when the 49ers were grateful the Bengals took Andy Dalton instead of Copernicus?
Its sad. They should just let Draft Kings run a lottery for the next GM of the Bears and the 49ers. It cant get much worse. Two proud historic franchises run into the ground.
This is what happens when you do not treat a winning coaching staff with respect. Who would want to coach and work for York? NOBODY. So you get castoffs from around the league, and the results should not be a surprise
Remember this is Blaine Gabbert get rid of the coaching staff
Perhaps Trent Baalke will be held responsible for this mess? He won the power struggle between himself and Harbaugh, this is his team.
I say they trade Vernon Davis.

Sending the Eagles to Kap, maybe?
I might have gotten that one wrong….
You can say that the Niners should not have forced out Harbaugh–but let’s remember that it was Harbaugh who decided to bench A. Smith in favor of Kap. That has proved not a wise move, though I realize A. Smith isn’t exactly all-pro material himself.
Let me sum it up. The Niners actually have some offensive talent. Boldin and Torrey Smith at WR, Vernon Davis at TE, and Hyde at RB. It’s just that their coaching staff is an overmatched joke and Kaep apparently likes trying to kill gophers with his fastballs into the turf. And there you have it. End of story.
Possibilities:
a) Beverage dispensers will now provide Malt Liquor since the last time the team was ever any good, it was “well stocked”.
b) Eric Mangini has successfully planted the knife in Tomsula’s back.
Sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?
TEBOW!
Kaepernick’s big contract is mostly smoke and mirrors because most of the money is NOT guaranteed.
@johngaltwho-
The Bears already got rid of the idiot GM that tried to drive them into the ground and replaced him with Ryan Pace from the Saints organization, which seems like a solid move.
Jim Harbaugh after watching last nights 49ers game….
Muhahahahahahah muhahahahahahaha mumuhahahahahah
I bet it is Kap to the Eagles.
3 points? At home? Against a losing team?
Total lack of imagination on the coaching staff both before and during the game. Any other staff could field a team of volleyball girls and score 17 points in today’s NFL. Who’s running this show?
Maybe the city can kick the team out and keep the name, sorta a reverse Modell.
Start by firing the architect, Baalke, and that’s just the beginning. No more wasted 1st round picks, please. Next, find a QB. Whether it be by trade (Garrapolo, Jones) or by draft. Next, shore up the O line. No team wins without a strong O line. Next, shore up LB crew. What once was a strength is now a weakness. Finally, find a real head coach. If I were the owner, I’d ask to meet with Belichek and get his opinion on up and coming coaches. Urban Meyer? I don’t know. What I do know is in life you seek counsel from the best, and Belichek is just that (if he’ll talk with us). I think we’re fine at RB with Hyde once he’s healthy. Teams (i.e. New England) have shown that you can win with just above average receivers. The key in the salary cap era is knowing where to spend your money, and recent history has shown you win in the trenches, with a solid QB, and reliable running attack. That’s where you spend your money. Just my humble opinion, but this thing is going to take a large rebuild. And for goodness sakes, no more D lineman, we have much greater needs and our D line is pretty good, it’s our linebackers that are totally subpar.
I distinctly recall the prior to the start of the season, Jed York said he would hold himself personally responsible and accountable if the 49ers were terrible this year.
So, is he going to fire himself as CEO?
Not holding my breath.
How is anyone on the 49er staff shocked that Coach “Tom-Sucka” is overmatched? What has he ever done? He’s been waiting in the wings and probably led the march against Harbaugh to get him out of there so he could take over the mantel . That little troll has “no skills or credibility” as a head coach !!! Get this clown outta here !
Has anyone mentioned the obvious kaep to Philly, yet?
Dolts…
They’re definitely trading Vernon Davis this season. That much I know.
is it me or is their head coach always sweating way way too much. It’s disgusting. Did anyone hear the Howard Stern show a few weeks back where he played the post game presser where they thought Tomsula farted? I’m serious…it was hilarious
Kap can play. Coaches need to let him roll out and run. His pocket passing will improve if he is given leeway to move, run for first downs, and be himself.
The list is becoming quite lengthy of the running QB’s who have very few other skills, such as reading defenses and accuracy issues etc. They are great athletes but never have the cerebral skills required of the position.
Maybe the 49ers are taking Alex Smith back. Would that be something Big? I know it is wishful thinking. I just want Smith off my team.
How can players now a days be so great one year then so terrible the next?
Who said anything about Gabbert? BRETT FAVRE IS READY!

They are going to offer GB their #2 pick for Brett Hundley.
While it’s fun to chortle at the 49ers (who can’t come to terms with the fact that Jerry Rice admitted he cheated during their Super Bowl Era – even though he now changed his story and he’s Stickum to it!) – the reality is they were pretty smart with their Kaepernick contract
While his agents might boast he got $61 million guaranteed – it’s really not.
The fact that the 49ers can cut him after this season and only have a $7 million cap hit tells you that they thought this might be a possibility
So let’s give the front office some credit at the very least – sure they’ve given him $15 million up front including this year’s salary, but moving forward, cutting him is completely doable
Where can I buy an official “Sending Kaep to the Eagles, maybe” t-shirt?
The coaching staff has no faith in the offense to make any type of big play, so they basically just gave up in the fourth quarter of a crucial division game that they still had a chance to win. Strangest game I’ve ever seen and probably the most embarrassing in franchise history. Why even play if your not gonna try to win the game?
Geep and tomsula are in way over their heads, they either need to trust their players or put in different guys. They’ve lowered the bar for Kap so much, they dont even try to win if something goes bad ( like a third and long)
Either way, Al Davis 2.0 made his bed, now he has to sleep in it.
This sitch is a whole organizational fail. That dude was running for his life, his receivers only had separation on a few plays and they imported an offense that must have been designed for someone exactly not named Kap. That game was over before the half was up and it’s talent on the team. Hopefully he stays tough mentally because he’s about to get physically beaten without some more talent around him.
Fire sale! Head to the box and be ready in case the warden shows up. Aim for the head!

I agree with other posters who wonder where this came from. Nobody said anything of a sort. Does anyone really think a change at QB would fix things? Sure, it wouldn’t hurt but they have bigger problems than that. (Personally, I think they should have kept Colt McCoy)
If they go to Gabbert, they are going to worse to worser. That guy shouldn’t, even be in the NFL.
Worst starting QB in the NFL.
As a longtime Niners fan, this season (and the offseason that preceded it) has been sad. Not because they suck, or because the coaching staff is overmatched, or because Kap has regressed. It’s sad because the intentions of management are now crystal clear. They have absolutely no interest in fielding a winning team. To the point that when, for a brief window, they rose back to greatness, they immediately sabotaged the effort and dismantled the entire team … from the roster to the coaching staff.
I’m not sure about timelines, but one wonders if their brief foray into competence was strictly to get a stadium built. And now that they got it … POOF.

I think they could do a better job of running a team instead of ruining the team like York and Baalke have done. The 12th man likes him? Why would Aggie fans care about the Niners QB situation. Browns, sure. Not Niners.
Eddie DeBartolo assembled the best organization in pro sports history. The entire organization was so strong that when Bill Walsh retired, his replacement (George Seifert) actually had a much better winning percentage. I just think Eddie was a hard man to fool. Plus he treated everyone so well, they would work their tails off for him. And the most important thing that nobody seems to remember is that the 49ers had the lowest payroll in the league the year they won their first super bowl. The 49ers had four of the top ten drafts of all time during Eddie’s dynasty. None of those players were getting arrested either. So I don’t want to hear anything about today’s salary cap, and how Eddie wouldn’t be successful in today’s NFL. Those 49ers teams dominated the draft every year, despite picking last half the time.

LOL, the only way they will find help during week 7 is if the NFL will allow them to poach players off of other teams rosters…..it ain’t going to happen, they are stuck with this coaching staff and players until the end of the season….
Hey, has anyone thought of sending Kaepernick to the Eagles for Sam Bradford maybe??
Did anyone really expect anything different this season? You have an incompetent owner (York) and a clueless GM (Baalke). You let a top 5 head coach go (Harbaugh), and you lost over ten starters and/or good players from last year’s team. Your offensive line is a sieve. You hired a coaching staff that is simply unprepared to coach on the NFL level (Tomsula, et al). You take away the quarterback’s strong suit–his legs–and stifle him with an unimaginative offensive scheme. What did you think was going to happen: some miracle that would allow the Niners to win the Super Bowl or something? This team is probably the worst in the league, and things are going to get worse before they get better. They need to blow up the team, clean house from top to bottom, rebuild through the draft and free agency, and bring in good, talented people that know how to win. What’s that? Oh yeah–they had a good thing going, but they let Harbaugh go and a lot of his players followed him off the team. The Niners are a sad, pathetic franchise right now.
Isn’t it great when someone makes a good comment and gets 60 thumbs-up and 3 thumbs-down——–but then sends a duplicate comment and it gets 22 thumbs-up and 37 thumbs down
Mangini is taking over. As a Pats fan I can never forgive him but he freaking knows the game. That boob I saw with the old porn stache looked so terribly out of his league last night I felt sorry for him. Mangini built Rex Ryans AFC finalist Jets teams only to have Ryan destroy it all. He’s Belichick arrogant but the guy can coach.

Maybe another QB
Brady wins SB 50. Shipped to SF for a couple first round picks. Finishes his career in his home town.
Pats win SB 52, 54, 55 with Garapalo.
What was wrong with Jim Harbaugh again? I guess Trent Baalke and Jed York have never heard the expression, success leaves clues.
44-19-1 in regular season. 5-3 post season.
The “very upset” people in the 49ers organization are the same people that burned the house to the ground to begin with. They could have had Gase as HC, Fangio as DC, and Tomsula as D line coach, but the 49ers insisted that Gase install Tomsula as DC. He told them to pound sand. Then, inexplicably, Tomsula skipped right over the DC level and became head coach.
First, who in there freeking minds would want Bradford. He ain’t even qualified to be a back up.may be stupidist QB in football.
Second, Kaperdink ain’t going anywhere until you have someone to replace him with and last I checked, not a lot of quality QB’s out there in the wings.
Third, this team lacks players. Coaches are confused when the players are confused.
To quote one Jimmy Johnson ” what you get when you have a great coach and lousy players is a coach with a lot of losses”.
Mending giftwrap with Smeagle, maybe?
dumpster fire like no other, Factory of Sadness West Coast?
The suits upstairs needs to merely look in the mirror for why the team sucks. The “Junior York”(not the peppermint patty) and his hand picked GM ran the best thing they had going out of town. It’s going to be a long, long time before this team will be competitive again.
Moving back to Candletwit park?
Big announcement? Maybe Jed is going to offer free tickets on his Twitter feed again. LOL. Current 49ers ownership is unbelievably arrogant, incompetent, greedy and bad for the NFL. Free Eddie D!
Plain and simple, when they dumped Harbaugh they showed themselves to be “the Redskins of the West.”
Meddling owners that think they know football but should stick to piddling around on their yachts.
I said it then, and I say it again – as a ‘Skins fan, so I know if what I speak:
Welcome to hell, 49er fans.
What’s this I hear about Kap to the Eagles?
“The 49ers were plain and simple overmatched today against a team that came in with four losses. . . . ”
If they were expecting the Niners to have a better showing just because the Seahawks have 4 losses, that’s totally delusional.
When asked what the something big might be, Tomsula merely smiled and said, “Something wonderful!”
“I could see the Niners part ways with Kap within a year or two. Big mistake to give him that fat contract.”
———————————————————————-
Kaps contract isn’t that fat, it’s actually a series of 1 yr contracts that the 49ers can get out of at anytime
Vinny Testaverde out of retirement? That desperate!
Kap is dropping his elbow, has no line and gives up when he’s about to get sacked. He doesn’t even try to escape.
landry Jones, for example, has a perfect throwing motion, a great sense of the pocket, and reminds me of a young joe monatana (just the way he throws and his accuracy).
Get rid of Trent baalke please please please. He’s ruined players and the organization
Sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?
Are we facing ten years of garbage like ,raider trash?
Raiders had 0ne (1) decade of bad teams..The niners lol, they been crappy for most of their existence…..get lucky with Bill Walsh and the west coast offense…put pretty good teams out there thru the 80’s and early 90’s then the league caught up to the west coast offense and the niners have sucked before the 80’s and since mid 90’s. Obviously the recent years were a fluke thanks to Harbaugh who was run off by the high and mighty niners. The niners are a joke. They were nothing before Montana/Young and Not much since.

Just thing that Keapernick has played in as many SB as Mr. Rodgers.
Congrats on the dumbest statement ever muttered in the forum.
Who would have thought the Raiders would have a more stable ownership and coaching staff in the Bay area! At least until the Raiders are in Los Angeles next season.

LMAO, the Raiders? Are they still in the NFL?

But that was before plan B free agency. When owners had no limit to spend, no salary cap.
——–
You’re right. They would have dominated even more if they had Plan B, and salary cap. The Niners got half those HOF players in the later rounds. Montana (3rd), Haley (4th). Many, many pro bowlers in 3rd round and later. DeBartolo paid money because he was generous, not because he had to. Remember they had the lowest payroll in the league when they won their first super bowl. Lowest, not highest.
Sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?
SF has become the 2002 Rams. Bad owner, bad management, bad coaching, bad drafts, “ineffective” qb play and aging/retiring players.
The smartest thing Jed York could do is give the team back to his uncle(Eddie DeBartolo)!
They are signing Tebow and taking Griffin from the Skins.
Get all 3 and it is time to run. Doesn’t matter if the get hurt.
Kaopectate might find a home with the RAIDERS.
Blaine Gabbert was another bad choice! They’re lost at sea
Should’ve kept Alex Smith
Yeah playing Gabbert will fix everything! Smart move dumping Harbaugh!
Send the Kap to Spokane in the IFL. they need a new QB.
Hopefully SELLING THE TEAM!
#JedYork #Unacceptable #NonSuperBowlWinnnigOwner
Any other team on this trajectory should try and deal the soon to be free agents but giving Ballke more picks just doesn’t seem like a win.
Other than Eric Reed what players has he drafted early that have done anything
Send Kaepernick to Philadelphia, but forget Bradford, he’s literally made of glass.
The Eagles are one of the few NFL teams that would actually take advantage of Kaepernick’s strengths, likely Kelly would give up some talent and/or draft pick for Kaepernick.
Face it, Sanchez is more effective than Kaeprenick, (well, maybe not in the mess that is Santa Clara’s offense)
Johnny Foosball Manziel to niners
There are only two things that could qualify as “something big” happening.
1. Kaep is released, or they trade/sign a new qb.
2. Coaching staff is fired, …….. I mean they part ways.
Nothing else is realistically possible. They aren’t moving and the owner is too much of a tyrant to sell. Kaeps contract is not tradable.
Gabbert starting isn’t something big. It’s common sense at this point.
Winning was gone last winter when they just gave away talent. My prediction was/is 2 wins with 3 wins possible. I am not hear to suggest Blaine Gabbert should play.
It is however amazing to me that somebody who makes $2 million per season is considered so incompetent that he will never play unless Colin is physically not cleared medically.
$2 million.
Can you imagine being a professional with $2 million salary, but so incompetent that under no circumstances would you actually be allowed to speak in meetings?
Harbaugh wouldn’t have made a difference to this team. He mutually agreed to leave, with his NFL coaching reputation intact.
The 49er should ensure they win no more games get the number one pick every team that win many games and do not win the SB is like the 49ers they won nothing. We must cut ties with Keap and this coaching staff but we must dtaft talent this team has nothing now Hyde Lynch Reid and a few others we must accept that we had our chance in the SB a few years ago and we pass the ball three times instead of rushing it. Keap could not make that pass I knew we were in trouble. With all the talent coach Jim H had around him he could take you to the dance but never bought the ticket for you to enter. He is a good coach not a great coach when you have all the talent and can not get it fone you are good never great. 49ers lost to many players one time, to be honest we already surpass my expectations and that Sea Hawks game was winable as well as the Giants game with any QB that can make the average pass including Tebow. I wish Keap all the success but the 49ers must move on from him once and for all.
Big news: “They are dropping the price of Sushi in the concession stands by $1.00”.
I predict that Mike Holmgren will be hired as the coach of the 49ers before the end of this season. Of course this could be wishful thinking on my part.
Come on now, don’t be so down about Thursdays game. After all, it was the Seahawks that the 9ers played, and everyone knows that even more than the Yorks, the Seahawks OWN the 9ers.
GO SEAHAWKS!!!
“Jim Harbaugh is laughing hysterically”
He doesn’t have any business laughing. He’s the one that kept Kaepernick over Alex Smith.
Get rid of Jed York for starters. Then the GM. what a joke of a duo. HELP Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Brent Jones…these men have all had successful business careers after their stellar years as players.
Run more 3 TE sets like you did all day against the Vikings. The Vikings D is legit, but you ran rough shod over them week 1.
Harbaugh and the current coaches were idiots not sticking with the read option offense…..
Kap to Michigan to reconnect with Harbaugh?
Unless the news is that the Yorks are selling, it’s not going to be big enough to save the 49ers. Worst ownership in the league for almost 15 years now.
Something BIG? You must be kidding? First of all get the Levi Stadium fixed, the grass is full of holes. The turf is rotten. Kap wouldn’t dare to run or slide anymore! Ask Russell Wilson! I hope York sells the franchise and retires in Florida, where he belongs. And Ballke can be fired. Kap took the 49ers to the Super bowl 47 and can he do that again…?
RG3 for Kap
The big news cometh and passeth away
Sending Kap to the Eagles, maybe?
Kapernick never was any good. Nope. The team around him was good and the team carried him.
Now with the defection of so many good players because of the force out of Harbaugh, everyone now sees Kapernick for what he is; which is a a guy who can’t read defenses; has no touch on his passes; and no real work ethic to understand the nuances of the position he’s trying to play.
The 49ers under Harbaugh, won in spite of him. If Harbaugh had had a real passing QB, they’d have won a Super Bowl under Harbaugh.
Ultimately, what killed Harbaugh in Frisco is that he drafted Kapernick which is basically hitching your wagon to him. Harbaugh only true mistake in Frisco was drafting a QB that really can’t play the QB position.
