The Falcons brought back a familiar face, as they shuffle the bottom of the roster with a guy who has been on and off it lately.

The team announced they had brought back safety Charles Godfrey, the second time he’s been cut and brought back as they addressed depth at other positions. A week ago, they cut him when they signed veteran linebacker Philip Wheeler.

To make room for him on the roster, they released linebacker Allen Bradford.

The Falcons also signed running back Gus Johnson and wide receiver Devon Wylie to the practice squad, waiving linebacker Derek Akunne and running back Juhwan Edwards for those spots.
