Cam Wake is out with an Achilles injury

AP

A bad night for the Dolphins may have just gotten a lot worse.

Via Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, defensive end Cameron Wake suffered an Achilles injury in the second half of Thursday night’s game against the Patriots. If the Achilles tendon is torn, Wake will be done for the year.

After getting no sacks in the first four games of the year, Wake has seven in the last three, including one tonight.

Undrafted a decade ago, Wake went to Canada, perfected his craft, became one of the top pass rushers in the CFL, and then became one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.

At least they still have Albert Haynesworth 2.0 collecting a fortune for doing nothing.

Why doesn’t the NFL give vested players lifetime health insurance? I have a huge problem with that!

That’s what happens when you play a really bad physical team like the pats. Half the jets team are on the injury list after playing the pats and now the Dolphins have gotten the crap beaten out of them. Pray you team doesn’t have to play the pats

    She’ll be fine.

Every team, including the Dolphins, win games for the Pats. Yes they are good but every other team make them look great. It’ll eventually change and they will be a bottom feeder like they were in the 80’s and early 90’s.

That would have to be part of a CBA. The NFLPA would have to think that’s important enough. This is the same group that allows Goodell to do whatever he wants.

The Pats have leveraged their spite over #Framegate to become the NFL’s equivalent of the dementors. They don’t just beat you, they take your soul.

Look at what’s happened to the Colts, Ravens, Seahawks & Bills since losing a showdown with the Pats.

    Roger’s created a monster.

By the time Brady retires, It’ll be 20 years of dominating the AFC east. 20 years of Miami suckiness. So yeah, the phins do help make the Patriots look great. So when will the phins put an end to their bottom feeding? Are you enjoying it,I am.

And here I thought this article was about Cameron Wake.

From a die hard Patriots fan I truly hope it is not a season ending injury. I am sending good vibes his way. I don’t like to see any player injured and certainly not with a season ending injury.

Actually… Cam did not go to Canada to perfect his game…

He went to Super Natural British Columbia to develop his skills with the B.C. Lions Football Team.

Get well soon, Cam! I guess the new rule is that all football players named Cameron will now be called “Cam” right?

Knew it was bad from the moment I saw it. Get better Cam

I love this. You didn’t win, we lost.
So you’re saying the Pats aren’t good, it’s just that every team they play sucks?
That eventually the Pats will become today’s Dolphins?

Perhaps a bit of study into cause & effect would help un-confuse.

Sad to see…Wake is very good player…Good thing it didn’t happen in NY.

jet fans would have cheered…like they did when Brady went down.

  20. hatersgonnahatehate says: Oct 30, 2015 8:39 AM

Dude is a beast…terrifying, but makes the game more exciting knowing any play can turn into a sack.

    Positive vibes his way

  21. finhead72 says: Oct 30, 2015 9:25 AM

That’s OK, we can just put Dion Jordan in to play in Wake’s absence. Oh wait!!

Just when he was getting after the player that should have taken his place if karma had played a role.
