Miami Dolphins star defensive end Cameron Wake needed assistance to walk off the field late in the third quarter after suffering an apparent injury to his left leg.
Wake was rushing off left end against New England Patriots tight end Michael Williams when he pulled up and couldn’t put weight on his left leg. Wake went to the turf and needed help from a pair of trainers to walk to the sidelines.
The Dolphins already lost tackle Ja’Wuan James to injury in the first half. Losing Wake would be a significant blow for Miami.
Wake has six sacks in seven games for the Dolphins this season.
