Joseph Randle abruptly leaves Cowboys facility, status uncertain

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has had a troubled past with the team and may be in more hot water after leaving the team’s facility on Wednesday.

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, Randle skipped a scheduled treatment session and unexpectedly left team headquarters after losing his starting job to Darren McFadden.

That decision to skip treatment doesn’t seem to be sitting well with the Cowboys coaching staff. He is expected to meet with the coaches when he returns to team headquarters on Thursday. His status with the team is now uncertain.

Randle, who was demoted on Wednesday, was unable to practice due to the injury.

Randle’s absence could force the Cowboys to bump a pair of former Seahawks - Christine Michael and Rod Smith - into more prominent roles against their former team on Sunday.

Randle has rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns in six games for the Cowboys this season.
