Donald Penn, Corey Liuget both fined for Week Seven altercation

When Raiders tackle Donald Penn was a guest on PFT Live earlier this week, Penn told us that he and Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget talked after last Sunday’s game and worked out the differences that led to a flare-up between them earlier in the game.

Penn pushed Liuget to the ground at the end of a play and Liuget responded with a two-footed kick to Penn’s chest. Penn then shoved Liuget again, drawing one of two flags for unnecessary roughness on the day.

Liuget was not penalized, but both he and Penn have drawn fines from the league. Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports that both men received $8,681 fines from the league as a result of their actions.

Penn also joked during his PFT Live appearance, which can be found under the “Big Name Guests” tab at this link, that he would buy Liuget some karate lessons for Christmas. He can deliver the gift when the two teams meet again on December 24.
