Packers carve into Broncos lead, down just 17-10 in the third

Aaron Rodgers, DeMarcus Ware

AP

The Packers haven’t had the same kind of efficient offense as normal, thanks largely to a dominant Denver defense.

But they are hanging around, and are threatening to make this a tight game in the second half.

Mason Crosby just hit a 56-yard field goal to cut the Broncos lead to 17-10 in the third quarter. And for all the pressure the Broncos have put on Aaron Rodgers, they haven’t sacked him yet.

That could come back to haunt them, as Rodgers has shown he can heat up in a hurry.

Of course, the Packers are short on defense in the second half, with both cornerbacks Sam Shields and Quenten Rollins out for the rest of the game with shoulder injuries.
