Report: Ravens to sign Joe Morgan

The receiver-ravaged Ravens didn’t swing a trade for help at the position, and they don’t seem to be interested in a reunion with 2012 postseason hero Jacoby Jones.

Instead, they’ll reportedly be signing one of the three wideouts who worked out for the team on Tuesday.

According to Ed Werder of ESPN, the Ravens intend to sign Joe Morgan. Morgan, Hakeem Nicks, and Chuck Jacobs worked out for the Ravens on Tuesday, two days after Steve Smith was lost for the year with a torn Achilles tendon.

The Ravens are still waiting for an appearance from first-rounder Breshad Perriman, whose knee problems have kept him from doing anything so far this year.

The Ravens are on a bye this week, giving them a little extra time to get Morgan up to speed -- and to continue the search for other receivers to complement Kamar Aiken, Marlon Brown, Chris Givens, and Jeremy Ross.
