Steelers receiver Antonio Brown had an incredible game in today’s win over the Raiders. But the win may have come at a cost.

In the fourth quarter of the Steelers’ 38-35 victory, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury. It looked serious, and could be a devastating blow for the Steelers. Raiders running back Latavius Murray also left the game with a concussion, and it’s a shame that such a great game was marred by so many injuries.

Brown was amazing. His 284 receiving yards were a new franchise record and the most in an NFL game since Calvin Johnson’s 329-yard game in October of 2013. Brown gained those yards on a whopping 17 catches, and his last catch set up the Steelers’ game-winning field goal with two seconds left. Brown also had two runs for 22 yards.

DeAngelo Williams also had a big game for the Steelers, carrying 27 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns in place of the injured Le’Veon Bell. And Roethlisberger was off to a great start before he got hurt, passing for 334 yards. Landry Jones went 4-for-6 for 79 yards after Roethlisberger went down.

For the Raiders, Derek Carr had 301 yards and four touchdowns, and Michael Crabtree had a big day, with 108 yards and two touchdowns. Oakland has a good young offense.

Today the Steelers had an even better offense. The question is whether that offense will have Roethlisberger the rest of the year.
