A 10-tackle day in a win over the Rams last Sunday made Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
The award is the first for Joseph, who’s in his second season with the Vikings. The 10 tackles match John Jenkins of the Saints for the most in a game by a defensive tackle this year. Joseph had 7 solo tackles and now has 26 on the year, most among NFL defensive tackles.
Joseph was also credited with half of a sack, 3 tackles for loss and 2 quarterback pressures in the game.
He joins John Randle, Keith Millard and Kevin Williams as Vikings defensive tackles to win the weekly award.
