An early lead for the Cardinals has been overshadowed, as guard Mike Iupati is being taken off the field in an ambulance.

Iupati went down after a collision with Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor. He appeared to drop his head into the impact, and went down immediately.

Trainers strapped him to a backboard and took his facemask off his helmet. There were signs of movement in his extremities as they worked on him.

Iupati came over from the 49ers in free agency, and was part of an emphasis on getting tougher up front.

UPDATE 9:48 p.m. ET: The Cardinals announced that Iupati had been taken to a nearby hospital, and has feeling and movement in all his extremities.
